GAME PREVIEW

11/9 Miami Dolphins

Again, it's payback time for Tennessee! To open the 2001 season, Miami came to The Coliseum for a nationally televised contest, and promptly handed the Titans a 31-23 upset loss, marking the start of a forgettable year for Tennessee. The all time record between these two franchises is 15-12, with the Dolphins holding the slight edge. The game will have special meaning to a couple of defensive players who are from University of Florida alums, Jevon Kearse and Kevin Carter. Nothing arouses a Florida Gator, former or current, than the mention of "Miami", and whoever the Dolphins' QB is may find out how intense that dislike is! Like the Titans, Dave Wannstedt's team is making the transition to youth, but it could be a season vet, former Charger linebacker Junior Seau, who makes the biggest difference for the team.
