In the first of two visits to Titans stadium in 2003, this game is significant for two reasons:
The Bills' running game will have a "Big Orange" flavor to it, as RBs Travis Henry and Shawn Bryson are former University of TN players. What will be more interesting is the departure of another former Vol, WR Peerless Price, and how such will affect Buffalo's passing game. QB Drew Bledsoe showed Bills fans that the team made a very wish investment in obtaining him from the Patriots, and you can bet he still has the aroma of a sweet Super Bowl win over the Rams two seasons ago still floating in his head.
Again, the Titans will play most of their starter for a quarter, maybe two, as the regular units begin to try to jell together. We'll have to wait until the end of the 2003 Titans schedule to see what these teams can really do to each other.
